On average hardwired security systems are cheaper to purchase because the cost to manufacture the parts is cheaper. However when it comes to installing the security system and the overall cost to purchase and install a security system that may not be the case.
Hardwired Security Systems
Hardwired security systems are cheaper on average because the cost to produce the individual sensors and keypads are cheaper. This makes maintaining a hardwired system much more cost-effective in the long run, but one downside to a hardwired system is the amount of work needed to install one of these systems. Hardwired systems are by no means simple to get up and running from start to end and typically have installers do it for them. This extra expense of having to hire somebody to install the system for you may increase the cost to have the security system in the first place more expensive than a wireless system.
Wireless Security Systems
Wireless security systems seem to cost more upfront because the parts are more expensive, however, modern-day wireless systems are very DIY friendly, meaning that they are very straightforward to install. This is great for those trying to save money from having to hire someone to install the security system for them.
