User Sync Failing Total Connect 2.0 - Common Issues

These steps are organized from most common to least common

1) Master Code Not Updated Within The App

  • Within the mobile app you can go to "My Locations" Tab by pressing more or settings Depending on the phone, you will see a 4 digit user code and can view it by pressing view. If this code is not the same as your panel's master code than it will not properly do a User Sync

2) Communicator does not have proper signal strength

  • If your panel does not have proper signal strength it can fail a User sync by losing connection 

3) Too many troubles on the panel

  • Most Honeywell panels are able to view troubles by pressing * on the virtual keypad, these troubles can prevent a zone sync from ocurring

 

4) Data Wires are not connected properly

  • The wiring within the panel my not be properly set up, typically the data wires are inversly wired it when this happens. This causes an issue because the panel cannot communicate with the communicator

5) Not updated communicator

  • The communicator you have installed may be an out of date communicator that is no longer supported for a number of reasons 

6) This can sometimes be a back-end issue
