The ADC-VDB780B has a unique supervision schedule that optimizes its battery life.
ADC-VDB780B supervision schedule
15 days between supervisions while connected
When successfully connected, supervision verifies the connection every 15 days.
8 hour supervision when disconnection is initially detected
If the connectivity check fails once, then supervision verifies the connection in 8 hours. If the next supervision is successful, the device reverts to the 15 day supervision.
3 days between supervisions while disconnected
If the connectivity check fails more than once, then supervision verifies the connection every 3 days. A trouble condition appears on the account informing the user that the device is disconnected.
To clear the trouble condition:
When the next device supervision is successful (i.e., the device is connected), the trouble condition is cleared automatically, and the device reverts to the 15 day supervision.

Special conditions
Several conditions on an account trigger unscheduled supervisions when it is likely that the ADC-VDB780B is disconnected.
The ADC-VDB780B is missing from the ADC-W115C connected devices
During the supervision of an ADC-W115C, it verifies that all ADC- VDB780Bs on the account appear in the connected devices lists of any of the ADC-W115Cs on the account.
If the ADC-VDB780B is missing from the connected devices list, the ADC-W115C triggers a supervision for the ADC-VDB780B.
The ADC-W115C supervision is scheduled for every 2 hours.
Panel Not Responding (PNR) error
The Panel Not Responding (PNR) process triggers trouble conditions for panels that are not communicating. The PNR process verifies whether or not an ADC-W115C has communicated in the last 5 hours and 50 minutes.
If a ADC-W115C has not communicated in the last 5 hours and 50 minutes, the PNR process triggers a supervision for all of the ADC-W115C's connected devices.
