Phone/VOIP Alarm Monitoring

The first option end users will have for monitoring of a Honeywell LYNX Plus L3000 wireless system is via phone/ VOIP alarm monitoring services. Security systems for over 30 years have been connected to central stations using phone lines. Even though phone line systems carry a lower monthly monitoring rate they don't provide end users with the most reliable mode of communications as phone lines can be cut by a possible intruder. If this was to occur the alarm signals will not reach the central station. Lastly, while using a VOIP or regular landline you will not be able to remotely control your system using your smart devices. In order to utilize phone line/ VoIP communications, you must have your installer code to access control panel programming menu. If you don’t have the installer code and want phone or VOIP monitoring services this will not be an option for you. Keep reading this article to see what your other options will be. If you don't have your L3000 installer code simply depress the two tabs on the top of panel, unplug backup battery, unplug power transformer, wait 10 seconds, plug battery back in, plug-in power transformer, get back to the control panel within 1 min, hold * and # until you see 20, once you see this, hit *20 followed by 4112, the panel will beep acknowledging you have successfully defaulted the installer code to factory.

Internet Broadband Alarm Monitoring

The second option consumers will have for alarm monitoring of a Honeywell L3000 wireless security system is via broadband internet alarm communicator. Though this is not the most common setup for monitoring of this panel it can be accomplished if end-user is set on not replacing alarm panel and having internet communications. To accomplish this end users will need a few parts. The first part they will need is the Honeywell 7847i internet alarm communicator and the second will be an adaptor allowing for this integration to work part number LYNXGSMEXTCB "If you need this part give us a call we can get it for you". With these two parts connected directly to the L3000 panel, you will enjoy internet alarm monitoring services. In addition to internet alarm monitoring services end users with a Honeywell L3000 panel with a revision number of 2.6.42 + will be able to enjoy Total Connect 2.0 interactive alarm monitoring services. With Total Connect 2.0 services end users can remotely arm/disarm their system, change user codes, bypass zones, receive text/email notifications and much more! With this option, GEOARM Security will be able to remotely access your control panel to assist you with programming and tech support so we never need to send any techs to your location.
